Refreshments available followed by a Members and Friends evening starting at 8.15. This will include a presentation by researchers of "The Poor Law Project: Newport Pagnell Union Workhouse". Tickets £3 on the door for the Members and Friends evening.
The Deanshanger Village Heritage Society has been formed for anyone who is interested in caring for the past, present and future of the village of Deanshanger in Northamptonshire.
The Society seeks to
- Provide an historic educational resource
- Create an archive of historic buildings
- Record a library of memories from the past
- Plan towards a public display of village history
- Promote improvements and interest in the heritage of the village
- Arrange open meetings
- Monitor development proposals
- Organise projects around the village
