Kate Davis - Biographical Notes

Kate Davis studied ceramics and textile design at Birmingham College of art. She has been a regular visitor to Sherington since the early 1970’s, and enjoys the fresh country air and the atmosphere of the different seasons. Kate resides in a converted cottage in Water lane with her husband Colin, when visiting, she is also interested in the architecture of the local buildings.

Kate currently produces textile art works and teaches City and Guilds embroidery classes at Richmond on Thames. She also exhibits her work nation wide, including the new local studio at Olney.

Kate has produced three local pictures dating from 1976 to 2002:
      A view of End Farm, Water Lane from across the fields, 1976
      A view of the Manor House, this view is now obscured by grown trees. 1983
